Summary:
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
1.
May be required to perform the duties and responsibilities of the Organizational Maintenance Control Clerk classification.
2.
Obtain qualification to Release aircraft Safe for Flight within thirty (30) days of start date and maintain qualification while assigned as an Aircraft Issuer / Dispatcher.
3.
Designate and issue aircraft that meet mission requirements for scheduled instructor pilots and students.
4.
Direct pilot-reported discrepancies to appropriate maintenance personnel.
5.
Assist student and instructor pilots in completion of required maintenance forms.
6.
Maintain / review Aircraft Discrepancy Books (ADB) to ensure accuracy.
7.
Coordinate special / cross country flights with squadron flight duty officer.
8.
Operate two-way communication equipment in performance of job duties.
9.
Maintain appropriate tracking for fuel, aborts, trouble calls, spot numbers, turn around inspections, oil log etc.
10.
Tracks aircraft high time components, phases and oil sampling.
14.
Deals with the customer in courteous, professional manner.
15.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Satisfactory completion of U.
S.
Armed Forces aviation clerical courses or other schools with equivalent curriculum or three (3) years of on the job training in aviation maintenance control and/or experience required.
Graduation from high school or GED required.
Must be able to meet any Government / Company licensing / qualification requirements for the position.
Demonstrate a working knowledge of Maintenance Control procedures and the coordination of aircraft maintenance.
Must be able to operate two-way communication equipment and speak in a clear and concise manner.
Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of aircraft maintenance records / forms and possess general knowledge of the T-6 aircraft and associated systems.
Must have working knowledge of applicable maintenance / technical manuals and publications.
Must possess basic computer data entry skills and be able to type a minimum of thirty-five (35) words per minute.
Must be able to read, write, understand and communicate the English language and to follow verbal and written instructions.
Must have three (3) years experience in military or civilian aviation maintenance control.
Position is located at NAS Whiting Field, FL.
Some weekend work and off hours may be required.
Must be able to obtain/maintain all required base access/clearances.
