HS Diploma and preferred completion of maintenance related curriculum from certified trade school in HVAC systems, or related experience
Experience:
HVAC Service/Construction, one year or more preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Use of conversational,analyticaland observational skills which demonstrate an ability to organize, perform, and record in the HVAC service and construction field.
Requires knowledge of general mechanical skills.
Includes language skills of reading, writing, spelling, and the ability to orally communicate clearly on technical and mechanical topics in English.
Principal Tasks and Duties:
Diagnose and repair or installation of new HVAC equipment systems as instructed on work order or as needed as your scheduled duties Ability to detect and anticipate problems and defects in systems on routine maintenance call, prior to failure of unit or component Diagnose and repair low voltage faults, high voltage faults, refrigerant circuitfaults, air flow problems and gas flowproblems Monitor systems refrigerant levels in HVAC systems Monitor compressor, condenser fan, and blower current draws Clean out condenser drain system Repair ductwork Operate volt, Ohm and amperage meters Operate refrigerant recovery system Operate vacuum pump Operate silver solder equipment Check on and adjust system Freon charge based on manufacturers recommendations Remove and replace system air filters Perform all work in a neat and clean matter Track and maintain assigned inventory levels Track refrigerant usage Maintain accurate records of tasks performed Call office to inform of any difficulties, technical advice, or other complications Source:
