Rare 1-5% Job Summary Essential Duties and Responsibilities Starts hoisting device that raises refuse bin attached to rear of truck.
Dumps contents into opening in enclosed truck body.
Gathers separated recycling materials and dumps them into recycling bins on garbage truck.
Assists in unloading and cleaning garbage truck at dump site.
Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory duties.
Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.
A.
Education and Experience Required:
Six months previous experience.
Preferred:
High school diploma or G.
E.
D B.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements None required.
C.
Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required None required.
Work Environment Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc) part of the work day; This position is typically required to exert physical effort in handling objects up to 50 pounds on a regular basis; and in excess of 50 pounds on an occasional basis, as a part of the normal workday.
Note:
The level of physical effort may vary from site to site and in some cases be greater or lesser than documented here Required to be exposed to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, etc) occasionally; Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements most of the work day; Normal setting for this job is:
refuse collection route.
