This position is responsible for:
Providing and coordinating nursing care to the pediatric population and collaborating with other professionals on an institutional, community, state and national levelPerforms complete and accurate patient assessment or reassessment.
Provides education to the patient and /or parent/guardian in a manner that the recipient understands in order to contribute to positive patient care outcome and patient satisfaction.
Responsible for patient flow of clinic.
Obtain vital signs.
Capturing and entering patient information into EMR.
Performance of basic laboratory test and entering results in EMR.
Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens.
Performing electrocardiograms.
Performance of in office testing.
Rooming of patients into exam rooms with preparation for exam and assisting provider with exam.

Ensuring appropriate documentation such as x-rays and laboratory reports are available for provider's review.

Prepare, clean and stock exam rooms for clinic Ensure provider's orders are carried out:
Perform and document quality controls on laboratory equipment.
Under the direction of the provider will schedule PT/OT, surgery and diagnostic tests to include pre-authorization and notification of patient.

Assist provider with procedures as necessary.

Ensures medications are safely stored in an appropriate area as designated by law, and that medication expiration dates are evaluated on a monthly schedule.
Familiar with pharmacokinetics, contraindications, side effects, mode of administration of all medications provider prescribes.
Facilitate refills and medication authorizations.

Performs intravenous procedures to include obtaining peripheral and central line access.
Obtaining specimens from peripheral or central lines.
Maintain sterile technique with central line and perform central line 9.
Handles all telephone calls in a courteous and timely manner with documentation of call in EMR.
10.
Ensure accurate ICD and CPT codes are recorded.
11.
Ability to cross cover in other clinical departments.
Qualifications:
Associate degree in Nursing required BSN Preferred Current BLS certificate through American Heart Association required.
Current licensure in Florida as Registered Nurse.
Recommended Skills Administration Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls) Basic Life Support Cpt Coding Certified Nurse Practitioner Clinical Works Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
