You don't need to be active duty military to serve your country! Responsibilities You will determine best source to procure from to meet customer requirements based on type of requirement, urgency, and knowledge of item or service.
You will contact vendors to obtain or negotiate prices, delivery, discount terms, transportation, or other order provisions.
You will review stock levels to adjust to changing customer requirements and projected depletions.
You will respond to customer inquiries regarding inquiries on the status of requisitions, delivery of material, and other supply related questions.
Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Using automated systems for preparation and submission of purchase requirements; 2) Reviewing and screening material and purchase requests for accuracy, funds approval, special requirements, and item description; 3) Tracking and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the status of all requisitions and purchases.
