Pulp Mill Superintendent


To provide day-to-day leadership for all department employees to improve safety, environmental compliance, quality, cost control and production for the Bleach Plant, R8 Plant & Caustic Plant Operations in the Pulp Mill. Responsible for implementing and updating management and measurement systems to ensure continued improvement in pulping, bleaching, and Kraft chemical recovery cycle operations.

Job
Responsibilities:
Review production reports daily.
Implement process improvement projects to optimize equipment and reduce downtime.
Optimize bleaching operation and recaust operation to maximize pulp production and reduce downtime and costs.
Communicate with other department managers to optimize mill production.
Promote team concept with supervisors and operators to assure continuity in reaching common production goals.
Provide after-hours managerial coverage for department on nights and weekends.
Encourage a behavior based safety process
Review environmental compliance measures daily.
Initiate process improvement projects to eliminate emissions/releases.
Develop annual operating and maintenance budgets and review monthly actuals versus budget.
Maintain asset management systems to improve equipment performance and reliability
Ensure the training program for operators and foreman is current and appropriate training levels are met.
Promote ISO standards throughout department.
Basic
Qualifications:
B.S. Engineering (ChE or ME) preferred
Minimum 5 years' experience in mill process, with specific experience in either bleach or caustic plant operations.
Minimum 3 years in a supervisory position
Previous experience with a Production Management System and Computerized Maintenance Management System required.
Proficient in PI System (Process Information System). Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
