Software Engineer

Position Overview
The Software Engineer will work as part of a team that designs, develops, and implements code for a suite of fully integrated public safety products.
We are seeking smart, innovative candidates who are capable of getting things done. We do not hire based on a specific list of buzzwords, technologies, or popular acronyms on your resume. Today we happen to use Delphi and ASP .NET but we are transitioning to purely Microsoft technologies such as WCF, WPF and LINQ.
We expect you to be a master of your current development environment and to be able to master any technology, language, or development environment that we need in the future.
Successful candidates must be able to take rough requirements and recommend best way to implement a solution. You will be responsible for design, development, implementation and maintenance of your products. As a senior software engineer in your engineering team, you will be considered the top level contributor and will provide consultation and guidance to junior team members.
Primary Functions
Configure and troubleshoot advanced Database systems (Oracle or MS SQL Server).
Participate in the design, development, documentation and testing of new software.
Configure and troubleshoot basic workstation and server operating system software systems.
Maintain application and industry knowledge base.
Assist with support efforts by sharing technical expertise.
Provide guidance and direction for other implementation and support positions.
Qualifications
Passionate about the information technology industry.
Outstanding coding skills backed by the ability to make good judgment calls.
Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities. Ability to troubleshoot technical problems and perform (or identify) potential resolutions
Excellent verbal, written communication, and customer service skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline-driven environment. Ability to balance multiple demands and work both independently and or as part of a team
Professionalism in dealing with all levels of management and staff
Ability to understand customer needs and manage expectations
Excellent negotiation and organizational skills with ability to orchestrate change through influence
At least five years of industry experience in software engineering, meeting aggressive deadlines, and performing software development duties
BS in Computer Science or closely related field or its equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
The following is a list of technologies currently supported by us. Experience in these technologies is a plus but not necessarily a must requirement for this position.
Strong programming skills in C#, VB.Net, or Delphi
ESRI and GIS
Experience with XML, XSL, XSLT, SOAP, WPF, WCF, ASP .NET, ADO .NET, LINQ and Windows Mobile
Experience with object-oriented design and development principles within the .NET framework
Experienced interacting with MS SQL Server database, T-SQL, Stored Procedures
Good working Experience in N-Tier web based Architecture / Service Oriented Architecture and design

years' experience with Producing and Consuming Web Services.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
